 Regular and Special Worship Services

Family Worship, Second Sundays at 10:45:   These services are designed especially for children, although the adults seem to enjoy them too.  They are filled with singing and music played by our own young musicians.   Each service has a theme for the children and their families to explore.  Please join us with your children.   If you'd like to help out with the services, we are always glad for more hands. 

Windward Gardens, first Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m.  A regular service at the Windward Gardens assisted living facility with Pastor Susan, Margaretta Thurlow, Hazel Peabody, and Cyrene Slegona.   Others are welcome to join us.

Morning Meditation, Fridays at 8:00 a.m.   A short session of meditation and prayer with Pastor Susan.  These are now held in the new parish hall of the Church.  Note that when Pastor Susan is away, these may not be held, so watch the calendar (Upcoming). 

Taizé Services:  Held every quarter.  These services include instrumental music, singing meditation, selected readings, and silent prayer.  The service is approximately 40 minutes.  Musicians come to us from a number of different churches in the area, and we are often joined by people from the surrounding communities who love the Taizé music.  Watch Calendar of Events for the dates of future services.

Vigils for Peace:  Held once a quarter by candlelight, from 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. on Saturday, featuring prayer, music, poetry, readings, and silent meditation focused on peace in the world.  Light a candle in honor of one who has served or fallen.  Watch the papers for the time and day of service and come for some of the time, or all night.   Light refreshments are available in the Parish Hall.

In addition to the above, the following special services are held during the Church year.  Times are approximate.   Watch the papers for announcement of the exact day and time:

Ash Wednesday, 6:00 p.m.

Maundy Thursday, 6:00 p.m.

Good Friday, 6:00 p.m.

Easter, Sunrise and 9:30 a.m. 

Blue Christmas, 6:00 p.m.  For those feeling melancholy at this time.

Christmas Eve, 4:00 p.m.  A candlelight Christmas Eve service for the community.
